Bellerophon is a rather well built boy. He has made it his business to develop his phsyical appearance, as well as his mental capacities. He isn't beyond physical confrontation, after all. Though, he does find attacking with his wand much more useful, but often a punch can be so satisfying.

Bellerophon is the eldest child of Cygnus and Druella Black. He grew up with his two siblings, and took it upon himself to watch after them. He isn't a caring individual, but he knew he had to look after them, because his parents certainly weren't going to do that. His parents were more interested in their own affairs than those of their children. They only cared for their children when it suited them.

For the most part Bellerophon was raised by his nurse, a rather strong woman. She was harsh with him, leaving him a harsh being himself. He isn't the most personable of people. He prefers to keep to himself, though that is hardly ever possible.

It was not a surprise at all when Bellerophon received his letter from Hogwarts. His father had considered sending him to Durmstrang, but his mother had pleaded to have her eldest close by. Cygnus had easily given in, and Bellerophon was sent to Hogwarts, where he was sorted into Slytherin. He found himself increasingly bored with the school, finding it's inhabitants far too useless for his time or energy. There were only a few Slytherins about that he would even deign to socialize with.

The summer before his fifth year Bellerophon received a letter, signifying he was to become a prefect. He had been very smug about that indeed. Of course, he was very intelligent, but he didn't think the fool Dumbledore had the nerve to give him power like that. Bellerophon was not kind with his ability to assign detention or take points. Oh, no. He was quite harsh actually.

Bellerophon is an extremely arrogant boy. He looks down on anyone he deems unworthy. Not just half-bloods and muggleborns. Oh, no. Most purebloods aren't acceptable either. Especially the blood traitors. He bases his like for a person on their family name and wealth. Should either displease him, he won't hesitate to show that displeasure.

It is now Bellerophon's seventh year. Having been at the top of his class for the whole of his academic career, Dumbledore so wisely made him Head Boy. Bellerophon literally laughed when he saw the badge. He had always hoped for it. Merely because it added more prestige to his name. Bellerophon Black, Head Boy. Oh, the muggleborn students were going to go through one hell of a year. He would make sure of that.

It's not that Bellerophon doesn't have a softer side. It's that he doesn't choose to show it. Shockingly he is capable of liking a girl. Would he ever show his emotions? Of course not. That would be unseemly. On the outside he is always calm and collected. He does not anger. You can not hurt him. On the inside, he is a seething mass of emotion, namely rage.
